Wireless CCTV provided the Tonbridge and Malling CDRP with both the Wireless Dome and the Heavy Duty Wireless Dome overt camera systems for the worst hit areas. The Wireless and Heavy Duty Dome packages can be fixed to lamp posts or walls, and still provide the user with complete flexibility and portability.
“
Everywhere the cameras go, crime vanishes. The Wireless CCTV cameras really work as a deterrent.”, according to Dave Sergeant, Tonbridge and Malling CCTV technician.

Stevenage Borough Council required a rapidly deployable portable surveillance solution that could be placed in problem locations. These locations were to be identified by The Community Safety Partnership and other interested parties such as the Police and housing/drugs wardens as short term crime hotspots.
“
The Wireless Dome units really work as a deterrent, as soon as we deploy a Wireless Dome in an identified crime hotspot the number of incidents reduces considerably”. Robert Holgate, CCTV Manager, Stevenage & North Hertfordshire CCTV partnership

Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council required a mobile surveillance solution to make redeployment of equipment simple and cost effective. It was agreed by the governing bodies that corroboration of evidence, using digital video footage or still shots, would go a long way to restoring community confidence and convicting those who continued to behave in an anti-social manner.
"Community confidence is a big issue for us at Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council; we must not only combat crime but also be seen to be combating crime. The WCCTV equipment will help us achieve these goals." Lee Durrant, Operations Manager, Community Safety
