I applied for an apprenticeship as this was the best route for me. I didn’t want to attend college and sit in a classroom all day as I am more of a ‘hands-on’ learner and I wanted to be treated as an adult and not a ‘student’.
I attended WCCTV’s Apprentice Open Day and from spending the day learning about the Company and meeting the staff, I knew it was a place I wanted to work to expand my skills and knowledge.
WCCTV as a whole has provided me with great support, they ensure I am always kept busy with training on the job and learning new skills.
My line manager and colleagues are always there to help me with my duties and they take the time to show me how to do something properly.
Since being on my apprenticeship with WCCTV I have gained better communication skills and matured more as a person due to being in a working environment.
I have learned new skills which I can proactively do with little guidance and have been offered additional training to improve and progress further with my experience whilst working in the Engineering Hub.
WCCTV are very supportive and go the extra mile to offer assistance and guidance to their apprentices. They ensure you are understanding everything you are learning and offer further training if required.
