Why did you apply for an apprenticeship?

I was looking to start a career in Engineering. I was new to the area and looking for a way to get into the industry in order to excel my career. I believed an apprenticeship would allow me to this as I would be gaining relevant work experience as well as being able to study.

Why did you choose WCCTV?

WCCTV demonstrated that they offer their employees room to grow and develop their personal potential. The Company is a hardworking, professional and friendly working environment. My day to day duties always varied, regardless of the fact I was an apprentice, which kept me motivated and driven. This has continued as a I grown with the Company and taken on leadership responsibilities.

How did WCCTV support your development?

WCCTV encouraged me to use my initiative and prove my skills and abilities through the variety of task and responsibilities given. The support offered by the Company was a major contributing factor in why I was awarded an ‘Outstanding Achievement Award’ for my apprenticeship. The award was given to me for my commitment and dedication to WCCTV. Following the completion of my apprenticeship, I remained with WCCTV and have since been promoted to Production and Returns Team Leader, managing a team of four people who are responsible for building, testing and dispatching surveillance equipment to the Company's Global clients.

Would you recommend WCCTV to other apprentices?

Absolutely, it’s an amazing opportunity to progress and advance your skills. WCCTV gave me a career and showed me that, with hard work and dedication, the opportunities are limitless. 

They have allowed me to expand my knowledge, and the team are great to work with - they are always there for
advice and support.
