WCCTV Systems Provide Safety at Godiva Fest 2016

The 2016 edition of Coventry's Godiva Festival was headlined by a world-class duo in the form of 2 WCCTV 4G Mini Domes which provided public safety and situational overview.

Godiva Festival, which took place at Coventry's War Memorial Park and featured live performances from some of the UK's best know acts, including Scouting for Girls, the Charlatans, Space and The Boomtown Rats, attracted over 148,000 visitors over the weekend of July 2-3 2016 bringing a range of safety and management challenges for organisers.

The WCCTV 4G Mini Dome is a rapidly deployable CCTV system that can temporarily provide live, remote access video for short-term applications.

The cameras require nothing other than a power supply. All video transmission is facilitated via the mobile phone network (4G with automatic fall back), meaning they are an ideal plug and play CCTV system.

The festival organisers were able to loan the cameras from Coventry City Council from their existing fleet, meaning they could quickly and conveniently provide security for the event.

WCCTVs redeployable CCTV systems are ideal as temporary security systems for major public events, offering a solution for public safety, traffic management and information gathering.

Previous events secured by WCCTV's systems include the London Olympics, Glasgow Commonwealth Games, The Tour De France and major demonstrations, rallies and music festivals across the UK and beyond.

The systems provide remote access to live and recorded images that users can view in an existing or temporary CCTV control room. Simultaneously, remote operatives can also have access to the video streams via mobile devices (iPad, iPhone and laptop).
