How did you start at WCCTV?

I commenced my employment with WCCTV 10 years ago, as a production operative. I wanted to break into the engineering world after my college course and saw WCCTV as a good opportunity to gain some first-hand experience.

What are your responsibilities now?

I oversee the planning of all the senior and field engineers in the Northern region of the UK, ensuring they are adhering to company procedures.

In addition, I assist with installations, services and decommissions of the products off-site.

How did WCCTV support your career progression?

WCCTV offered an extensive support network. After a couple of months, I began shadowing a senior colleague to learn how to become a field engineer as this was an upcoming new department of the Company.

WCCTV were looking to maximise opportunities to develop more positions within the engineering field. Therefore, due to the support of my seniors and WCCTV as a whole, and the competence I had shown in my previous role, I progressed to Senior Field Engineer.

From this, I was promoted to my current role. My experience has been supported by WCCTV through participation in various management and work-related courses.

Due to the encouragement I received from WCCTV, I have developed, enhanced and furthered my skill set.

Would you recommend WCCTV to others?

WCCTV has a real sense of family belonging, with many of the team having worked together for several years. WCCTV believe in an inclusive, self-empowering and supportive system that progresses staff internally to their full potential.
