WCCTV's Redeployable Cameras have been installed by Malvern District Council in response to reports of anti-social behaviour.
Malvern Hill District Council has recently deployed one of WCCTV's Redeployable Cameras in response to several reports of youths breaking into properties and threatening residents.
The camera installed, a 4G IR Mini Dome, will be regularly monitored to help identify those involved with anti-social behaviour, and the evidential footage will be used to secure injunctions.
A local resident, who watched a group of youths jump over her fence and enter her garden, said: 'It was quite shocking to see because they are in balaclavas, you don't know who they are, and you don't know the age group and it's scary to just see."
After sharing the footage online, more came forward with similar reports, with the neighbours adding that the group stayed on the road throwing stones and urinating in gardens for some time after the incident.
West Mercia Police said it had received "a number of reports" of youth antisocial behaviour and was carrying out extra patrols in areas where concerns had been raised. It also issued five dispersal notices, making it an offence for those in receipt to return to an area for 48 hours.
Due to their wireless transmission capability, WCCTV's Redeployable Cameras are ideal for temporary or targeted monitoring applications. They transmit live and recorded video using in-built 4G technology, so the police can readily access footage without requiring specialist equipment.
The systems are completely portable, giving police the ability to crack down on crime hotspots, tackle neighbourhood crime, deter theft, identify suspects and provide community reassurance.
