Max Harris

Joined WCCTV: 2013
Placement Role: Business Development Executive
Current Role: Head of Managed Services - North

Why did you do a placement year?

I knew that pursuing an industrial placement as a part of my Business Management degree would provide me with invaluable experience. Ideally, I wanted to join a growing organisation that would allow me to apply my theory-based knowledge to the real business world.

Why did you choose WCCTV?

The level of responsibility! WCCTV allowed me to be responsible for the development of the Public Sector across the whole UK.

The challenge and pressure that came with the position were way more than I would have gained elsewhere and gave me an insight into the world of work.

How did WCCTV support your development?

WCCTV provided me with a platform for professional and personal growth. I was offered a permanent role during my placement, which motivated me to pursue a career and develop within the organisation. It was also peace of mind that I wouldn't have to worry about what to do after leaving university.

I was also offered several opportunities outside of what I expected from a typical student placement, such as the chance to represent the Company at a global exhibition in Germany.

Would you recommend WCCTV to other students?

I would highly recommend WCCTV to students considering a placement year. Not only will you be provided with a high-quality of training within your chosen field, but there is a proven track record for progression opportunities.
