Finance Assistant

We are looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to join our established team in Rochdale. You will support the UK Management Accountant in the transactional finance team and assist with the monthly management accounts. The Finance Assistant Overview:

• Review new sales orders to ensure all the correct documentation has been collected.
• Ensure decommission credits and invoices are actioned and processed in a timely manner.
• Distribution of daily bank balance and bank reconciliation.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly supplier cost packs.
• Create and distribute weekly and monthly credit control reports.
• Support the UK Management Accountant in the creation of the monthly UK management accounts.
• Support the UK Management Accountant in the creation of the monthly Board Pack.
• Provide support to the Purchase Ledger function when required.
• Assist with the year-end audit process by supporting the creation of year-end audit files.
• Deal with large volumes of complex data and demonstrate the ability to present this in a clear and presentable manner
• Monitor the finance email inbox and escalate any queries for attention.
• Maintain and improve the standardisation of tasks and processes

Your Experience as a Finance Assistant:

• AAT experience/willingness to progress to CIMA or ACCA
• Experience working in a Finance Assistant role, transactional finance role or similar is desirable.
• Excel skills are essential, ability to create formulas up to a VLOOKUP standard
• Proven track record of providing month-end accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis to deadlines.
• Strong communication - written and verbal
• Experience working in a high-growth SME Environment is desirable
• Work in an autonomous role where you can manage your own working day with a high degree of responsibility
• Ability to successfully organise, prioritise and work dynamically.
