Rochdale Council Install WCCTV Redeployable Cameras to Tackle ASB

Rochdale Borough Council has recently deployed a number of WCCTV's Redeployable Camera systems to tackle crime at anti-social behaviour hotspots across the town.

Working in partnership with Greater Manchester Police, the Council has installed the rapid deployment cameras in the Spotland Road and Balderstone Park areas.

Councillor Rachel Massey, who has overseen the partnership between Rochdale Council's Community Safety Team and Greater Manchester Police, spoke on the recent installs:

"I'm delighted (to see the cameras) installed, it's one of the many steps we're taking to support local residents in reducing crime and making areas feel safer."

"We are listening to concerns and I hope this provides some community reassurance."

Redeployable CCTV for Local Authorities

WCCTV's redeployable cameras are ideal for temporary or targeted monitoring applications due to their wireless transmission capability.

They are utilised by councils and police forces across the UK to capture or deter crimes such as anti-social behaviour, vandalism or fly-tipping.

Their rapid deployment nature means they can be quickly moved to new locations to provide community reassurance, or if new surveillance requirements arise.
