WCCTV Time Lapse Cameras Capture Network Rail Transformation Projects

WCCTV has partnered with Network rail to provide multiple video services during the GNRP, including security cameras, body cams and time lapse video filming.

WCCTV has partnered with Network Rail to provide project overview, site security and Time Lapse Video production on the Great North Rail Project at Newcastle sites.

Network Rail's GNRP is a vast programme of improvements to transform train travel for customers in the North.

It will enable 2,000 extra services each week and allow 40,000 more passengers to travel each day. More trains with more seats, running more quickly and more reliably. Train customers are the immediate beneficiaries of improved transport links (or connectivity) between towns and cities in the North.

As new opportunities, including jobs, are created, and businesses get access to a greater pool of talent, local communities and the wider regional economy will feel the knock-on benefits of GNRP. This will boost growth regionally and nationally.

WCCTV was contracted to Newcastle sites to provide a range of live video services, including project overview, security, workforce protection, time lapse video, and body worn video.

Managed CCTV for Rail Projects

WCCTV provided Network Rail with the WCCTV Network Rail Type Approved Tower, the only rapid deployment CCTV Tower with PADS approval for trackside deployment.

It is non-conductive, easy to install, and its redeployable design means the client can quickly move it to a new location as requirements change.

The Network Rail Tower integrates wireless technology (4G and 3G) to transmit live and recorded video and alarms, a market-leading Predator camera with infrared imaging and 360-degree pan, tilt and 36x zoom, audio speakers to enable a remote challenge to occur, and a removable hard drive (up to 4TB) for local storage.

It features multiple powering options for complete flexibility, including:

  •    Mains – 110/240v

  •    Eco long-run battery - allowing generator shutdown at nights/weekends

  •    Methanol Fuel cell - autonomous power for up to 8 weeks

WCCTV has a strong pedigree, working with blue-chip organisations such as Balfour Beatty, Skanska, BAM, VolkerFitzpatrick, NMC and AMCO - capturing some amazing projects from start to finish.

As well as providing a stunning, fully-edited finished product, WCCTV also provides you with access to a secure portal where you view live progress images from the site and even create your own video clips.
