Reducing crime and ASB by
0%
Local authorities face increasing pressure to reduce crime, manage public space and respond quickly to issues like antisocial behaviour, illegal dumping and vandalism.
But limited resources and gaps in fixed infrastructure can make it difficult to deliver effective monitoring across an entire borough.
WCCTV supports council teams across the UK with deployable CCTV systems and body cameras designed to tackle local issues head on. Whether it's monitoring fly-tipping hotspots, supporting traffic enforcement or helping ASB teams gather evidence, our systems are easy to use and proven to deliver results.
Effective Solutions for Real World Issues
From town centres and estates to parks and recycling sites, local authority teams need simple, reliable ways to monitor public spaces, gather evidence and address community concerns.
But coverage gaps, limited infrastructure and changing priorities mean traditional CCTV isn’t always enough.
WCCTV’s rapid deployment cameras and body worn camera systems are designed for the real-world challenges councils face. Our technology is used by ASB teams, housing officers, traffic control units, environmental enforcement and more to:
Monitor known hotspots and high-risk locations
Deter nuisance behaviour, vandalism and fly-tipping
Support enforcement activity and gather usable evidence
Respond to resident reports and service requests
Systems can be installed in minutes, moved as required and accessed remotely by your teams without the need for fixed power or internet.
Designed for Council Use
Get systems in place quickly without the need for civil works, cabling or complex setup. Ideal for responding to resident complaints, short-notice requests or seasonal issues.
Move cameras across parks, estates, town centres or recycling sites as priorities shift. Units are fully redeployable and can be set up by your team.
Choose from mains, battery or solar power. Our systems work in areas with limited or no infrastructure, from laybys and alleyways to remote land or open spaces.
View live and recorded footage from your office, control room or mobile device. Monitor multiple sites without attending in person.
Capture reliable footage day or night to support enforcement, resolve disputes and respond to community reports.
Used by housing, ASB, traffic, enforcement, environmental and more. One system, multiple applications across your council.
All footage is encrypted and handled in line with UK data protection requirements, making it safe to use and easy to manage.
Our systems can integrate with existing council video management software and control room platforms, streamlining operations and reducing manual workload.
Every system comes with access to technical support, training, warranty cover and clear user guides. We’re here to help your team stay operational, informed and confident from day one.
Flexible Coverage for Changing Priorities
WCCTV’s redeployable cameras give councils the flexibility to respond quickly to localised issues without the delays and cost of fixed infrastructure.
These portable units are easy to set up, simple to relocate and built to work across estates, parks, high streets, fly-tipping hotspots and more.
They’re used by ASB teams to monitor repeat offenders, by housing officers to protect communal spaces and by environmental teams to investigate illegal dumping.
The visible presence of a camera also acts as a deterrent, helping reduce incidents before they occur.
Each unit delivers HD video, pan tilt zoom functionality, remote access, local recording and secure data handling.
Additional devices such as ANPR cameras can also be integrated to support vehicle enforcement and traffic monitoring.
They operate with or without mains power and connect via 4G or 5G, making them suitable for even the most hard-to-reach areas.
A Visible Presence Where It Matters Most
WCCTV’s rapid deployment CCTV towers are ideal for high-risk or hard-to-cover areas where fixed cameras aren't practical or available.
Fully self-contained and designed for quick setup, they deliver instant coverage without the need for power, internet or infrastructure.
Councils use our towers to monitor vacant properties, prevent fly-tipping at recycling centres, support traffic management during roadworks or events and provide additional coverage in areas with repeat antisocial behaviour.
Their overt design provides a clear visual deterrent, helping reduce incidents before they occur.
Each tower delivers HD video, remote access, local recording, pan tilt zoom capability and optional audio deterrents.
Powered by solar, fuel cells, battery or generator, they’re suited to both short-term deployments and long-term problem areas.

Tackling Environmental Crime Head-On
As part of its “Don’t Mess with Wiltshire” campaign, Wiltshire Council deployed WCCTV’s mobile CCTV towers to monitor known fly-tipping hotspots in rural laybys.
The goal was to deter illegal waste dumping and gather evidence to support enforcement actions.
Standing at 6m tall and painted bright yellow, the towers provided a strong visual deterrent while capturing high-quality footage.
This evidence enabled the council to issue Fixed Penalty Notices and pursue prosecutions, reinforcing their zero-tolerance stance on fly-tipping.
“We are fighting back with these CCTV cameras, which will help to prevent littering and catch culprits in the act,” said Cllr Dominic Muns, Cabinet Member for Waste and Environment.
The initiative led to a 31% increase in fly-tipping prosecutions year-on-year, demonstrating the effectiveness of the CCTV Towers.
